NOTE- In order to get started with the project, you need to have a 'Parent Consent Letter' signed by you and your parents.
Task 1- Weebly Account Set up
- Open a browser (Google Chrome or Firefox)
- Type the following to open Weebly website.
www.students.weebly.com
- Use the login information shared by your teacher.
(do not share your login information with anyone)
Task 2- Change Password
- Click on 'Account Settings' button to change your password.
- Click on 'Change Your Password'
- Enter a new password and click the 'Save' button.
(please do not forget your password)
- If you forget your password, contact your teacher to get your password
Task 3- Website Creation
- Click on 'Create Site' button to create a new website.
- Type a title for your website and click 'Continue' button at the bottom.
(First Name's Science Journal- Ex: John's Science Journal)
- Click on 'Publish' button at the top.
- Select a sub-domain for your account and click on 'Continue' button.
(Type your first name: if the system says "already taken' then add two numbers beside your name)
- Select the website type 'Education' from the drop down menu.
- Select the category 'Class Project' from the drop down menu.
- Click the 'Continue' button.
- Click on your website URL in blue. (NOTE:The student websites are password protected)
- Type 'student3' to view your website.
Task 4- Working with Tabs (Build, Design, Pages, and Settings)
- Click 'Design' tab to select a 'theme' for your website. Click 'Choose a Theme' and then click on 'Choose' button.
- Click on 'Settings' tab to change the time zone to Eastern Time (US and Canada)
(NOTE: Scroll down to select the time zone)
- Click on 'Pages' tab to create pages for your website.
- Click on 'Add' button at the top and select 'Standard' page. A new page is added by clicking the 'add' button. Add the following pages: 4 Main Pages and under each page arrange the sub-pages (the ones moved to right a little are sub pages)

-Pages- For all standard pages, select the option 'No Header' but for 'Introduction' page choose 'Landing Page' option.
- Click one more time on 'Add' page at the top and select 'Blog' page.
- If you need to delete a page, select the page and click the 'Delete' button.
